Privacy Policy

Due Together is a household bill tracker for iPhone. The short version: we don't collect your data. There are no accounts to create, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no third-party code in the app. What you enter stays on your iPhone and in your own iCloud.

What you enter, and where it's kept

The app stores the bills, accounts, payments, amounts, and notes you enter. Accounts are just names you choose; if you add the last four digits of an account, that's for your own recognition, and the app never asks for full account numbers or bank logins.

This information is kept on your iPhone and synced through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to your own iCloud account. It's covered by Apple's privacy policy and your iCloud settings. We, the developer, can't see or access it.

Sharing with your household

If you invite someone to your household, the household's bills, accounts, and payments are shared with them through iCloud sharing, and they can see and change them. The first name on your iCloud account is shown to them alongside the changes you make, like “marked Water paid.” Only people you invite can see your household, and you can stop sharing, or leave a household, in Settings → Household.

Notifications

Bill reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. When your partner changes something, Apple's iCloud lets your iPhone know so it can show you a notification. No notification content passes through a server of ours; we don't have one.

Subscriptions

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. The app only learns whether your subscription is active and when it ends. That end date is saved with your household in iCloud, so your partner's iPhone is included in your subscription. We never see your payment details.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes its data from your iPhone. To remove the copy in iCloud, open the Settings app, tap your name, then iCloud → Manage Account Storage (or Manage Storage) → Due Together, and delete its data. If you're in someone else's household, leave it in Settings → Household first.

Children

Due Together isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
